Websites exist first and foremost to pass information to the viewer. Pineapple
Charm recognise the importance of not only ensuring all information is
up-to-date and accurate, but that it is presented in a stable, clear and easily
navigable format. If customers cannot find what they are looking for, it is
useless having the information there.

If the website is not appealing to those it is built to attract, it will fail.
Pineapple Charm work closely with clients to find a happy medium
between what is practical for the target audiences' computers and the existing
design concept of their company, to generate a fast and
appealing user interface.
Getting Live
Pineapple Charm can organise as much, or as little, of the techincal side as is
required. We can register any domain name that is still available, with
.com, .net and .co.uk extensions. For registered charities, .org and .org.uk
are also available. For large sites, completely separate hosting is
adviseable,
but for smaller sites it may be more economical to take a subdomain at
pineapplecharm.com, although heavy traffic can make it difficult for readers to
get through.
Marketing
Submission of your site to a number of leading search engines is included in
the price of the site, and helps to bring traffic to you. With proper
consultation, content, meta tags and links are all creafted carefully to
encourage high ranking.
Updates
Free updates for a year are included in the price, within reason - Pineapple
Charm websites that will need frequent updating are normally scripted, allowing
anybody with the correct password to post up-to-the-minute information. If,
however, you would prefer a non-scripted site (for example to host on a slow
computer), we can provide staff training in HTML, CSS and basic JavaScript.
Pricing
It is impossible to price a site without considering the requirements of the
individual business, but as a rough guide, A concise, static business site could
be on the web in a week for less than £300.

The Times of Swaziland
Full-blown scripted back-end, with form-driven input of articles on a daily
basis translated
into three concurrent sites for weekdays, Saturday and Sunday. Includes image
handling,
inbuilt database capability and flexible formatting, driven by templates,
Javascript and CSS.
Anglo Packaging

Mirror as coded by pineapplecharm.
Complex manipulation of the constrictive Actinic v4 into a
tab-based site with enlarging images. Also provided full digital photographic
services. Site has since been redesigned heavily but code generated by
pineapplecharm
is still much in evidence in photo enlargements, backtrack links etc. All
images are
pineapplecharm-sourced.

Mirror as initially supplied, before revision
PHP - based, template-driven site allowing very simple HTML files to be
uploaded by in-house
staff without any discrepancy in design between pages. Extensive use of CSS
ensures continuity.
The Chillage
A backpackers' hostel in Swaziland. Simple design and light-hearted but
functional content, optimised for low-bandwidth internet cafes.
The Man Who Went Astray
Play promotional site. Full poster design and photographic retouching services
provided.
In Development
AfricanTours4U.co.sz
Tourism website, created but never paid for and hence in limbo. Trivia: coded
entirely from an Internet cafe in Mbabane using, in the absence of Photoshop or
even a camera, images pulled from old personal websites. Feel free to examine
the
source text files
, which would have been edited directly by the client and then formatted
automatically by the PHP.
